Integrity
Tell the truth. Never invent access, quotes, observations, evidence or relationships.
GSR FIELD OPERATIONS / CODE SA-03
Authority is limited. Integrity is not. These standards govern how every Signal Agent represents Ghost Signal Radio.
CORE PRINCIPLE
A title, badge, access pass or credential does not make someone trustworthy. Conduct does. The confidence given to one Signal Agent affects every future GSR relationship.
Tell the truth. Never invent access, quotes, observations, evidence or relationships.
Separate what you know, what a source said, what you observed and what remains uncertain. Correct errors promptly.
Treat venues, sources, guests, staff, fellow contributors and the public with patience and respect.
Authority is limited to the specific assignment and instructions issued by Ghost Signal Radio. No one may self-deploy under GSR authority.
Use the GSR name, title or credentials only for approved work. Never use access primarily for personal benefit or imply broader authority.
Do not make business commitments, negotiate partnerships, promise coverage, promise favorable coverage or make promises to venues for GSR.
Follow applicable laws, venue rules, safety instructions and access restrictions. GSR never authorizes trespassing, unlawful access, unsafe behavior or unauthorized entry.
Protect private, embargoed, off-record or otherwise restricted information and follow the newsroom’s handling instructions.
Label files clearly, provide honest context, identify edits and include permissions, names, dates and sources needed for verification.
Disclose personal, financial, employment or relationship conflicts before accepting or proposing coverage.
Communicate problems quickly, follow instructions and accept correction. Conduct that threatens safety or trust may end participation.
SIGNAL AGENTS CANNOT
Violation of the Field Code, dishonesty, unsafe conduct or misuse of the GSR identity may result in removal from the Signal Agent program.
